Die by the Blade is a hardcore PVP sword-fighting game with one-hit-kills mechanic, local & online multiplayer set in samurai-punk universe. Our team?
We are compact, agile and highly skilled team of developers who love games and want to create fun experiences for players around the world. We are working with latest and most advanced game engines available (UE4, Unity) as well as bleeding edge modeling and animation software (Max, Maya, ZBrush, Blender, Cascadeur).
What we need from you when applying for position?
Your CV and description of your past experiences. If you have any experience in making games please send us links to the games you’ve worked on and what you did exactly. If you are applying for artistic position (animator, character artist, etc.) please either send us link to your portfolio or pdf with your art book. Art station links are also great.
Senior animator
As animator you will have great understanding and strong passion for creating both realistic and stylized animations. In this role you will be working alongside experienced developers creating high profile games and bring our characters to life. You must be able to thrive in challenging environment with aptitude for critical thinking and analysis.

Responsibilities:
- Creating high quality full body keyframe or motion capture fighting animations based on collaboration with combat system designer
- Re-create poses and moves from reference images or videos
- Produce animation visualizations and present concepts
- Pro-active fixing of animation bugs and issues
- Working with motion capture team to record animations on high level of quality
- Setting up controllers and systems for animation on UE4 skeleton
- Animation retargeting and motion capture cleanup
Your profile:
- Skilled in technical aspects of 3D animations as well as principles of great animations
- Excelent awarenes of timing, weight and composition
- Good understanding of human anatomy and mechanics of human body movement
- Proficient in at least one of these tools: Maya, Max, Blender or Motion Builder
- Can quickly learn new tools and is able to use abstractions from one software in another
- Is able to comunicate ideas clearly, consistently and effectively
- Is able to collaborate with creative team providing and receiving feedback
